Charlie and I do very different things. I build brands. She captures them.
But it’s not really a coincidence that we often find ourselves working with the same clients.
We both believe strongly in what the other brings to a business, because a brilliant brand identity and brilliant photography might be two different disciplines, but when they work together? That’s when things really start to click.

When I’m building a brand, I’m thinking far beyond the logo. How should this business feel? What should people remember about it? How will it show up across a website, social media, print and everything else?
And photography is a huge part of that picture.
You can have a beautifully considered identity, but if the imagery tells a completely different story, that message gets lost. Equally, incredible photography can only work so hard without a strong identity and clear direction around it.

This is where Charlie and I naturally overlap.
Charlie has an incredible ability to understand a brand. She gets under the skin of the business, the people behind it and what they’re trying to communicate, then brings her own creative eye to how that story should be captured.
She’s thinking about what the business actually needs from its photography, how the images will be used and, importantly, how to capture something that genuinely feels like them.
For me, that makes all the difference. When those images come back, they don’t just sit alongside the brand identity. They feel like they belong to it.
And yes, we recommend each other often. Not just because we’re friends, but because we genuinely believe in each other’s strengths. We know the value of having someone brilliant doing their thing, and how much easier it makes your own job when they are.
Different expertise, a shared way of thinking and a mutual belief that when all the right pieces come together, the whole brand is stronger for it.
I build them. She captures them. And together, it all just clicks.
