When we’re looking at Instagram as a marketing platform for our businesses, we need to think about the strategy behind why we’d use one feature over another for the message we want to deliver. So why use stories over a grid post or reel? WELL… stories can help generate engagement and deliver value to your audience.
Think about stories as your conversational style of delivery, it helps to grow brand awareness, develop connection with your audience, communicate your personality, style & tone of voice.
It’s a great way to build connection and engagement to allow you to drive traffic to offers, newsletters, products outside of Instagram too. The nature of stories is that they disappear after 24 hours, so you can worry less about having ‘perfection paralysis’ and really deliver your brand’s authentic self.
By creating content that makes people stop scrolling or forward tapping, you are continually emphasising your brand which in turn, deepens that ‘like, know & trust’ factor which can result in increased sales.
Research has shown Instagram to be the number one platform for consumers to connect with brands. There’s a direct correlation between brand loyalty and business growth. BUT, the key is consistency, authenticity and humanising your brand.
